WHAT IS SUBLIMATION?

Sublimation is a cutting-edge printing method for synthetic fabrics that brings the precision of digital technology to the art of apparel design. Rather than embroidering or screen printing a design, sublimation applies the pigment directly into white fabric in a vibrant and colorfast way.

The sublimation process begins by printing the design on paper using sublimation inks. The paper is then put on top of the chosen fabric. Using a heat press machine, the paper is pressed and heated to the material. The ink vaporizes and is applied into the material. The paper is removed and discarded, leaving behind your newly customized item!

Traditionally, most uniform vendors provide cut and sew jerseys, which are jerseys that are built in pieces by colored fabric and then sewn together. Through this process, you are limited to certain selection of fabric colors as well as cuts. Sublimated jerseys are built in sections, however, any design you can imagine can be pressed and infused into the material. The sections are then sewn together. When you see fades and other unique designs and accents on a jersey, most likely it was sublimated!

Sublimation is the easiest way to completely customize your uniforms or other garments and makes a lasting impression. Unlike screen print or heat transfer applications, sublimated designs will not fade or chip after numerous washes. Sublimation costs the same no matter how many different colors and accents you choose. Another great advantage to using sublimation is weight. By sublimating your complete jersey (logo, numbers, and color patterns) there is no added material thus reducing the weight by as much as 50%! Sublimation is the easiest way to create a truly unique product by submitting your custom created label design.

WHO DECIDES WHAT OUR KIT WILL LOOK LIKE?

A: You do! Feel free to be as specific or vague as you want with your design ideas. If youíre short on ideas and want to be surprised with a few potential designs, then weíll gladly do that too.

HOW LONG DO DESIGNS TAKE?

A: From the time you submit your design to when you get the finished artwork sent to you, youíll typically wait no longer than 2 or 3 business days

HOW MANY LOGOS ARE ALLOWED ON A CUSTOM KIT?

A: Any number of logos. The cost of customizing your kit is totally free of charge, including all logos.

WHAT KINDS OF LOGOS MUST WE PROVIDE?

A: Preferably a vector file. These can come in .ai, .eps, or .pdf formats. We need vector files to provide the best quality kits. If you donít have one then reach out to us anyway. We can usually convert what you do have into a vector file.

WHAT KIND OF COLORS MUST WE PROVIDE?

A: A lot of university teams may have "pantone" colors which is very helpful to have. If the pantone codes are unknown, we can extract them from a vector logo, or from the licensing department at your school. If you donít fall into this category, then we can use any color you want- pantone or otherwise.

ARE THERE ANY MINIMUM ORDER QUANTITIES?

A: The regular pricing is for 12 or more items, but for a slightly higher price we can do as few as one of just about anything- including jerseys!

WHAT IS THE NORMAL LEAD TIME ON CUSTOM KIT ORDERS?

A: Upon finalizing designs and receiving payment (or a school issued purchase order), we quote 60 days for delivery. Typically this number is around 40, but for a rush fee we can get items made in as few as 15. Lead time is affected by seasonal demand.

CAN I DESIGN MY KIT ONLINE?

A: Yes - you can use our new kit builder here. If you want a design our kit builder canít make, please contact us and our artists will create it for you.

HOW DO I KNOW MY SIZE?

A: Head to our website to see all of our sizing information, or contact us to get your hands on a sizing run of our kits. For a fully refundable deposit we will send you one of each sized jersey or shorts so you can assure the perfect fit!
